Rain... Rain patting on the roof
And a boy sitting on the window...
He looks at the falling rain throughout the glass
His hand touches it gently...
pat... pat... pat...
The rain falls, and falls
Throughout the window a boy looks...
He clenches his fist
And the rain falls even more...

My first submission to the group, and a short one. I am curious how people treat short poems compared to the long ones, since most of my works are short (the really long ones are in my native language).
You think short poems are better/same/worse than long ones?
Also I would like to know what you think about when you read this poem.
Also thanks for any other feedback^^

I guess I read it and think about a person who feels separated from the world- sort of muffled, in a sense. And even though he see's what's on the other side, he can't seem to get through to it, no matter the sadness and desperation.

And lengthwise, it's all about the words and how the poet shapes them. I think it's the choice of words rather than the choice of length that decides a poem's strength.
